BNI is the world's largest business organization, acting on the basis of mutual recommendations and references. It has clubs in many countries. It was founded in 1985 by Dr. Ivan Misner, one of the world's best experts in the field of direct recommendations. While creating BNI, Ivan Misner was a consultant. He advised companies to seek support in the area of strategic planning and organizational development. Because the existing networking groups didn’t fully satisfied him, he created his own, well structured solution, that was focused on generating orders and giving positive support to members.
The philosophy of the company are the words of Givers Gain – “Giving strengthens”. And the mission of BNI can be summed up as follows: to help people develop their business through a structured, positive and building marketing program based on the recommendations and references.
